Feel like I am tapered

So here I am, Thursday morning after Timberman. I feel as good as I did leading up to the race. I feel like I am tapering. I am following the protocol exactly as prescribed. The only thing hanging on is the euphoria!

I realized that when the season started, my goal was to break 6 hours in a half. I also noted that if I went under 5:30, I would sign up for an Ironman. That is the new goal for the MightyMan Half in Montauk on 10/3.

Thanks everyone for your notes, Tuesday the training gets started in earnest again.

  1. Dan - glad your still feeling good! it's nice isn't it! Your going to kill it in Montauk that is your back yard! home field advantage! Are you doing any of your training out there?

  3. I think of Switzerland, I think of the Alps! Which may be a bit more hilly than Rev3. I am planning on doing Timberman again, why don't you sign up? It was really a lot of fun. Maybe we can get some more people interested too?

  4. One of the perks of CF Endurance does seem to be the quick recovery. 5:30 seems very achievable for you Dan! I think you should do IM either way next year :). AZ nice and flat! ;)
